Today is our last day on land. After breakfast we finished packing and doing a few other items. Our guide and driver picked us up a noon for the drive to the Crystal Symphony, our home for the next couple of weeks.
We checked in
on arrival and were immediately greeted by Flo, one of our travel companions on
our recent trip to Cuba. She was with
her sister, Nellie. Albert and Caroline,
also on our Cuba trip, hadn’t arrived yet.
We had a nice visit with Flo and Nellie.
We purposely
had a late breakfast at the hotel so that we could have lunch on the ship. So we were soon off to the buffet for a nice
lunch.
After lunch we
wandered around and took a few photos of the ship. We had traveled on Crystal before, on the Serenity. This ship, the Symphony, has undergone a very
recent renovation. We have no idea of
the previous layout or décor but the ship is lovely.
We spent some time in the afternoon unpacking. We got a “cheap” cabin with views of the promenade walk that circles the ship. So not a great deal of privacy. And the cabin is small but certainly adequate for our needs. We won’t be spending a lot of time in the cabin anyway, except for sleeping.
We ate dinner
just the two of us. In the future we
will see if they have any open seating so that we can meet others on the
ship.
After dinner we
went to the Galaxy Theater for the evening’s entertainment. They dance group was a local Bali group that
performed a Barong Dance. There were
instrumentalists and several dancers.
Didn’t know the story but it was interesting to watch and to hear.
